How we celebrate Elf Day
We book the day off work, every year.
For Christian:
- PJ’s
- Pint of Baileys for breakfast
- Christmas Films
- Elf (maybe twice)
- Die Hard
- Taste test all mince pies on the market for the yearly “best of the best” but must be Palm Oil free
- Write Christmas Card list
- Chill out with a Martini, shaken not stirred
And yes, a PINT of Baileys:
For Alexe:
A walk with the dogs is a good way to start, even if they would prefer to stay in bed! Then we spend the day enjoying Christmas movies and indulging in treats! I like to have a soda water with mint, lemon and lime slices. Fresh veg crudités, home made dips and a random flavour of crisps we haven’t tried before. The dogs sometimes get mini sausage snacks. Elf is a must see movie. Then we debate others but generally end up watching Die Hard. I use the day off to get festive and crafty. I start making Christmas cards or handmade gifts for friends and family. If I’m organised I’ll make a Christmas pudding or Christmas cake too! 😋
Elf day is definitely good for my inner elf, taking the time to recharge and enjoy arts and crafts time. Maybe next year it should be 2 days…
