Why did it start

Elf day started back in 2016.

Exhausted from the pressure of what the media and marketing thought the Christmas period should be and what we should all own. As well as the start of Christmas leaking into August/September.

We had had enough!

What is Elf Day?

At it’s heart, it is simply a day to reflect and start a period of celebration.

Specifically the first of December every year

Before this date, Christmas does not exist. Keeping December special, a time for friends, family and reflection.

How do you celebrate?

There is no set way to do this. Simply celebrate as you feel best.

If it helps, think back to what brought you joy as a child and start there.

Religious?

Elf Day is not specifically about Christmas or any other religious festival. It is simply about resetting and getting in a celebratory mood - what ever you choose to celebrate.
